When the original Flexible Dieting Manual dropped in 2014, flexible dieting and IIFYM were new ideas. What started as simply an acronym was slowly getting the attention of the general fitness public.
As with any new idea, there was pushback.
My goal was to put together all of my best content on flexible dieting and consolidate it into one spot. At the time, I wasn’t aware of any free document like that available.
The response blew me away.
As we sit here, almost eight years later, I think it’s time for an update. Flexible dieting has evolved over the years, and this document needed to reflect the evolution.
In 2014, I felt like I needed to sell the idea of flexible dieting. Hence, the manual was my attempt to stand from the rooftops and shout: yes, you can eat Pop-Tarts and still get shredded.
I don’t think I need to do that anymore.
