Essential Strength is the most efficient way to get strong. This is a 7-week strength program focused on improving the squat, bench press, and deadlift in the most efficient manner possible. If you only have 30-45 minutes to spend in the gym, but still want to improve your lifts, this is the program for you!
Outside of a few variations, there is no traditional assistance work in this program. With Essential Strength, you come in, hit a quick warm-up, work on the main exercise for the day, do one variation, and go home. You will be in and out of the gym in under 45 minutes.
Can this style of training still be effective? Well, this is the exact program I used leading up to my last powerlifting meet! I knew during my meet prep time was going to be extremely limited. I had a bunch of business projects going on, I needed to write my second book of the year, and to top it off, my wife started a new demanding job meaning I needed to double my Dad duties. To say I was busy would be an understatement!
